Bright with its green - grey variegated foliage, edged in white'Silver Lining' catches the eye with its dense and bright foliage. The green-grey leaf blade is nicely mixed with paler green, edged in bright white with some overflows towards the interior.In June-July it is covered in big corymbs of fertile flowers encircled with white sterile flowers.It is of medium growth and attaches itself to its support by air roots. Luminous shrub, MUSLI® is noticeable from a distance.MUSLI® was discovered and selected as a seedling of Ligustrum ibota in Switzerland.Leaves are opposite, evergreen to semi-evergreen and remarkable for their lasting variegation, highly resistant to the sun. The young shoots are light yellow, turning white with time. The foliage is more or less variegated, light grey-green with creamy white edges, sometimes so wide that they cover the entire width of the leaf.When young, the shrub is of bushy and spreading growth with arching branches. Then MUSLI® forms an even bush with a dense centre. It is of moderate growth.In early summer, the shrub will produce clusters of fragrant white tubular, nectar bearing flowers, turning into blue-black berries, which attract the birds.This shrub tolerates cutting back and is suitable in topiary, in a monospecific or a mixed hedge. A novelty for the Sorbaria genus : foliage with long lasting colours, a growth that stays compact
Concerning the Sorbaria species, where novelties are rare, PINK HOPI® 'COUSORB05' has been chosen for its qualities, different from those of 'Sem'.The compound, serrated foliage is delicate, light and harmoniously layered. It is a remarkable plant, due to its young variegated shoots which are red, pink and cream, then veined with white. Bud burst is extremely precocious, starting in early March. The shoots withstand the cold (at least up to -3° C). The colourful period lasts a month longer than in the traditional varieties, the shrub shines until the end of Mai. Later, in the summer, the foliage turns green.The shape of PINK HOPI® has the additional advantage of staying compact and this selection produces less suckers.
