A hardy selection with well-branched growth, for a maintenance-free hedge.This variety, coming from a Prunus laurocerasus 'Otto Luyken' seedling, was selected for its rapid growth and its well branched and upright habit, resembling a compact flame.It has few flowers in spring, and therefore only a little fruit afterwards.Rustic evergreen, particularly resistant to disease, not needing pruning, 'Greentorch' is an ideal variety for a monospecific hedge without worries.

Little springtime vulcanos for a low hedge.This variety of laurel with elegant branches naturally reaches a height of about 2 m and a spread of 1.50 m, all the while keeping its compact shape. It is of medium to slow growth.The coppery young shoots are decorative and contrast well with the shiny dark green foliage, which is evergreen.The creamy white flowers in May are followed by deep violet berries.ETNA® tolerates pruning and is recommended for the composition of moderate sized hedges (up to 0.80 m). For a naturally narrow and hardy hedge.This Prunus laurocerasus has been cultivated in Switzerland for its erect and narrow growth. It only needs light pruning.It reaches a height of 3,50 m and a width of 1.00 m when free growing.The foliage is shiny dark green, quite elongated and resists well to low temperatures.GENOLIA® does not thin out at the base and can stand the weight of snow thanks to its erect and strong branches.It has discrete flowers and the fruits are not very abundant.This variety is ideal for a narrow hedge.Trophies: Silver Medal at PLANTARIUM 2005 (Boskoop - NETHERLANDS)

Worth a try: a new evergreenThis new evergreen is an asset for the producer: its growth is vigorous and it forms very well. The young shoots offer a pretty bronze shimmer, later the foliage turns bright light green, which contrasts with the red petioles. In the autumn it turns bronze green.The slightly flared and drooping shape as well as the small and curled leaves give the shrub a light and natural silhouette.Very hardy for a Prunus azorica. Ideal for the revival of hedges!

Shades of coral and salmon A very fashionable colour for this floriferous variety with well-rounded inflorescences, Lady Lasa® is a small rhododendron which forms a round, dense semi-dwarf plant, highly resistant to disease. Its young shoots are purple-brown. Its long leaves change from light to dark green. The wood is fine and beautifully clear. A multitude of big round buds open out into shiny bouquets at the end of April. Enormous, brightly-coloured flowers The rhododendron SIR WHITE RUBY® is an improved version of the variety 'Point Défiance'. Its very large flowers are pure white, decorated with a wide bright red border. It is a densely branching plant with thick wood. The leaves are large, green and elongated. Really red!The flowering-period ranges from May to October. These quite long clusters of flower heads are well stocked with good sized flowers that are of a new deep velvet red, enhanced by the dark brown calix.The glossy dark green, semi-evergreen foliage is aromatic.These are easy garden plants, in well draining soil, but can also be grown in pots. The Sage varieties sold by SAPHO also offer a beautiful pallet of colours.

An unusual climber with multiple, intensely blue bell-like flowersSollya heterophylla is an attractive and abundant climber for gardens where the climate is mild. It flowers freely from June to September. Its blue bell-like flowers spread from the junction with its leaves. This new variety, ULTRA BLUE, produces flowers that are larger and of a deeper, more luminous blue than the typical variety. Its habit is also better branched. Its twigs and leaves are fine but dense. The whole gives the impression of a well-developed climbing shrub from which emerge numerous tiny bells of blue.It's essentially a woody plant with herbaceous vegetation. In open ground Sollya heterophylla ULTRA BLUE should be limited to sheltered gardens in mild, coastal or Mediterranean climates, since it has a low resistance to frost. Easy to cultivate, it has a good resistance to drought. Grown in a large pot, it will decorate a terrace or patio during the warm months and can be over-wintered under glass or in a veranda.
