A climbing, semi-evergreen, vigourous hydrangea.This climbing Hydrangea comes from a crossing of H. anomala ssp petiolaris and H. seemannii. It has an evergreen to semi-evergreen foliage. It is covered in beautiful copper coloured young shoots in spring.It is hardy, its height is of over 2.50 m and more. Trained against a wall, it hangs on to its support with its air roots, without damanging it. Ever, always: dense foliage even in winter, fragrant flowers in summer, bluish fuits in autumn.This variety of climbing honeysuckle of our CAPRILIA ® range is a hybrid between Lonicera henryi and Lonicera japonica 'Aureoreticulata'.CAPRILIA ® Ever is hardy and shows good persistence in winter.This selection shows a lesser development than its parent plant Lonicera henryi.The plant flowers well in May - June, presents clusters of small flowers which stand out well against the foliage. Light violet to pink as buds and in bloom, the flowers then turn yellow orange before wilting. They are fragrant, unkike Lonicera henryi. Some second flowering is noticeable in September.Dark blue fruits appear at the end of summer and persist for a long time.The narrow, mid-green foliage resists well to blackspot, mildew and aphids.To be trained.
An unusual climber with multiple, intensely blue bell-like flowersSollya heterophylla is an attractive and abundant climber for gardens where the climate is mild. It flowers freely from June to September. Its blue bell-like flowers spread from the junction with its leaves. This new variety, ULTRA BLUE, produces flowers that are larger and of a deeper, more luminous blue than the typical variety. Its habit is also better branched. Its twigs and leaves are fine but dense. The whole gives the impression of a well-developed climbing shrub from which emerge numerous tiny bells of blue.It's essentially a woody plant with herbaceous vegetation. In open ground Sollya heterophylla ULTRA BLUE should be limited to sheltered gardens in mild, coastal or Mediterranean climates, since it has a low resistance to frost. Easy to cultivate, it has a good resistance to drought. Grown in a large pot, it will decorate a terrace or patio during the warm months and can be over-wintered under glass or in a veranda.
